According to a press release issued by the party, the list will be officially unveiled on Thursday (October 16) at a press conference. On the same day, a meeting with the nominated candidates will be held at the Far East Tower auditorium on Topkhana Road in the capital.

The release stated that the candidate selection committee—formed under the leadership of two vice-chairmen and a joint general secretary—has already submitted a preliminary report after completing an extensive selection process. Following a review at a recent meeting of the party’s executive council, the AB Party finalized its first-phase nominations for 100 constituencies.

The statement added that about a month ago, the party held a meeting with prospective candidates and decided to field contenders in the maximum number of seats. The upcoming announcement marks the continuation of that process.

The AB Party also noted that the second phase of the vetting process is currently underway, and the next list of nominated candidates is expected to be announced in the first week of November.

Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju and General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad have called for the full cooperation of party members and stakeholders to ensure successful election preparations, finalize the candidate lists, and make the October 16 meeting a success.
