The formal joining took place at a view-exchange and joining ceremony held in the Karnipara area of Kalai Union. Among those who joined was Abdus Salam, secretary of the Karnipara ward unit of the BNP.

Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated parliamentary candidate Dr. Mustafa Faisal Parvez attended the program as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of ideology-based politics, morality, and Islamic values in building the nation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Abdus Salam said that after being involved in politics for a long time, he had come to believe that the ideology of Jamaat-e-Islami is the most effective for ensuring the welfare of the country and establishing a just society. He added that this realization led him and his colleagues to join the party.

Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami at the upazila and union levels also spoke at the event. They welcomed the new members and assured them of full organizational support.

According to party sources, hundreds of leaders and activists have joined Jamaat-e-Islami in several phases in Kahalu Upazila of Bogra.
