He made this appeal while addressing a Rukon (members) training camp as the chief guest, organized jointly by Jamaat’s Mirpur, Pallabi, and Kafrul zones at a community center in the capital’s Mirpur area this evening.

The program was conducted by Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s assistant secretary, Mahfuzur Rahman. Newly released central executive council member ATM Azharul Islam presented the main thematic discussion during the camp.

In his speech, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated, “It is an obligation for every Muslim to work for the cause of Islam. Islam is a complete code of life chosen by Allah for us. The Holy Quran serves as our guidance, and true believers benefit from it. Therefore, everyone should unite under the banner of Islam.”

He further emphasized that a true believer must adhere to Islamic principles from birth to death. “Prayer, fasting, Hajj, and Zakat are obligatory upon us, and likewise, following Islamic teachings in all spheres of life is also mandatory,” he said.

Referring to the Muslim-majority nature of Bangladesh, he remarked, “Ninety percent of our country’s people are Muslims. People of other religions are also a part of our society. Islam is a unique code of life where all forms of problems find solutions.”

Quoting the Holy Quran, he added, “Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day.”

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman reminded attendees that spreading the message of Islam is a continuing responsibility of the Ummah. “Allah (SWT) sent His Messengers (SAW) to this earth to deliver His message, and it is now our duty to continue this mission by overcoming all obstacles,” he said.

The event also featured thematic discussions from Jamaat Dhaka city north unit’s Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik (member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka city north), Yeasin Arafat, and Maulana Abul Kalam Bashar (member of the working committee of Jamaat Dhaka city north).
