The Commonwealth Secretary-General met with the Legal Adviser today (Monday) to discuss human rights and elections.

In a post on Facebook, Shirley Bachwe said she had a fruitful exchange of views with Bangladesh's Legal Adviser Asif Nazrul, which included strengthening human rights and ensuring equal opportunities for all for a successful election.

He also said that the Commonwealth stands ready to support Bangladesh's reform and national unity efforts in line with the values ​​of the Charter of the Commonwealth family and in the service of all its people.

In addition, Shirley Bachwe met with Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain on this day.
