After signing the condolence book, he met BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Thursday (January 1) evening, according to BNP sources.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said that diplomats, political leaders and dignitaries from various countries posted in Dhaka signed the condolence book on its third and final day. Among them were US Chargé d’Affaires in Dhaka Tracey Anne Jacobson, Iranian Ambassador Mansur Chavushi, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner, representatives of the Aga Khan Foundation, and several other diplomats and distinguished guests.

He added that the condolence book was also signed by Jatiya Party Secretary General Shamim Haider Patwary, Pir Sahib Hazrat Maulana Mufti Shah Abu Nasr Nesaruddin Ahmed of Charchina Darbar Sharif, Social Welfare Advisor Sharmin S Murshid, President of the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubur Rahman, and leaders of various social, political and professional organizations.
