Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam was present at the ceremony at the Chief Adviser's Office in Tejgaon.
International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) in November 1999.
The initiative to establish the day originated from Bangladesh, and the UN General Assembly welcomed the proclamation in its 2002 resolution.
At the same event, Chief Adviser Dr Yunus also released a commemorative postage stamp, an inaugural envelope, and a seal to celebrate the 7th National Comdeca 2025 (Community Development Camp).
