Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Leaves Dhaka to Perform Umrah

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman left Dhaka at 11 a.m. on Sunday to perform Umrah in the holy city of Mecca.

He was seen off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, and Dhaka Metropolitan North Ameer as well as Central Executive Council Member Md. Selim Uddin.

According to party sources, after performing the holy Umrah, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is scheduled to visit the United States and the United Kingdom. He is expected to return to Dhaka in the first week of November, InshaAllah.
