According to a message from the Chief Advisor’s press wing, Osman Hadi’s brother Abu Bakr Siddique, sister Masuma, and Inqilab Manch leaders Abdullah Al Jaber, Fatima Tasnim Juma and Md. Borhan Uddin met the Chief Advisor at the State Guest House Jamuna in the morning.
During the meeting, Professor Yunus said the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the highest standard of medical care for Osman Hadi.
“The entire country is praying for him. Everyone is trying to ensure the best treatment. If, considering his physical condition, he needs to be sent abroad, the government will arrange treatment wherever necessary,” the Chief Advisor said.
Osman Hadi’s sister described her brother as a patriot from childhood, saying he loved revolutionary poetry and devoted himself to the country. She mentioned that Hadi has a 10-month-old child and is the backbone of their family.
“He has a lot of work left to do. He must survive. You, the revolutionary government, must protect the July revolutionaries at all costs. Otherwise, the independence and sovereignty of the country will be at risk,” she said.
Inqilab Manch leader Abdullah Al Jaber demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the attack.
“After August 5, many people returned home, but Osman Hadi did not. He worked day and night for the July Revolution. We have heard that the shooter was previously arrested in a case—there must be an investigation into how he was granted bail,” he said.
Fatima Tasnim Juma called on the government to ensure comprehensive security for the July fighters.
Responding to the demands, the Chief Advisor said all those involved in such brutal attacks would be identified and brought to justice.
“Law enforcement agencies are actively working to arrest the criminals as soon as possible. Orders have already been issued for a thorough investigation, analyzing the incident from the ground up,” he said.
Legal Advisor Asif Nazrul, Environment, Forest and Climate Advisor Rizwana Hasan, Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan, and National Security Advisor Khalilur Rahman were also present at the meeting.
Osman Hadi was shot by miscreants in the capital’s Bijoynagar area on Friday afternoon. He was initially taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later transferred to Evercare Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Doctors involved in his treatment told Dhaka Post that following a multidisciplinary medical board meeting that continued until 11:30 am, it was decided that no new surgical interventions would be carried out for the time being. Instead, Hadi will remain under close, observation-based treatment.
According to the medical board, his condition is currently static, with no major changes. However, doctors warned that due to severe brain injury, his condition remains extremely sensitive and could change at any moment. He has been placed on artificial ventilation, and all vital parameters are being closely monitored.
