Association General Secretary Raich Uddin made the appeal at a press conference on Tuesday (January 6). Emphasizing the spirit of democracy, he said that winning and losing are natural outcomes of any election, but those responsible for conducting the polls must not take sides.
Referring to complaints raised by students, Raich Uddin said the Teachers’ Association is also reviewing the allegations. He expressed hope that the university administration would seriously examine the issues and take necessary measures to address them.
He also voiced concern over congestion in several areas of the campus, noting that large gatherings could create difficulties. “We hope these congestions will not lead to any unpleasant situation,” he added.
The long-awaited JUCSU and Hall Parliament elections are being held on Tuesday, ending a 20-year hiatus. More than 16,000 students are casting their votes amid a festive atmosphere across the campus.
