The information was announced in a press statement issued by Chief Advisor’s Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi on Sunday afternoon.
According to the statement, the national election campaign for 2026 has formally commenced. The first campaign teaser features Captain (Retd.) Dr. Khan Subael Bin Rafiq, coordinator of the investigation into the murder of missing BDR soldiers, who urged citizens to actively participate in what he described as “the most important election in the nation’s history.”
Dr. Rafiq said, “We will all go to vote in a festive atmosphere in February 2026. Through this election, the people of Bangladesh will reaffirm their ownership of the country.”
