“The elected parliament will address and resolve the country’s unresolved issues through discussions,” he said today (November 13) in a discussion programme held at a hotel in Gulshan.

He said the practice of democracy has gained new momentum in recent times, adding that he believes true democracy will emerge through constructive discussions among political actors.

The BNP leader said, “Since the time of Pakistan, democracy has been frustrated and destroyed. This time, the July warriors have provided an opportunity to institutionalise democracy.”

BNP will continue its efforts to restore democratic governance, he said, adding that it will be better for the country the sooner we can form an elected government through elections. “Currently, there is no reason to be disappointed.”
