The announcement was made by Saidul Islam, Human Resources Management Secretary of the Central Students’ Union, at a press conference held at Jarultala on Thursday (September 28) at 3:00 pm.
According to the declared panel, Ibrahim Hossain Rony, an executive member of the Central Student Union and a student of the History Department (2017–18 session), has been nominated for the post of Vice President (VP). Saeed Bin Habib, a student of the History Department (2019–20 session), has been nominated for General Secretary (GS), while Sajjad Hossain Munna, a Finance Department student from the 2019–20 session, has been nominated for Assistant General Secretary (AGS).

The much-anticipated CHAKSU elections will be held on October 12 after a long gap of 35 years—the last election was held in 1990. A total of 27,634 students are eligible to vote in this year’s election.
As per the CHAKSU and Hall parliamentary election code of conduct, no processions can be organized during the collection and submission of nomination papers, and no more than five supporters are allowed to submit forms. The last date for nomination submission was September 17, with scrutiny held on September 18. The preliminary list of candidates will be published on September 21, and the withdrawal deadline is September 23. The final list of candidates will be announced on September 25.
Voting will take place on October 12 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, followed by the counting of ballots.
