He made the remarks while speaking at a discussion meeting held at a hotel in the capital on Thursday (November 6).

Amir Khasru said, “Before Tarique Rahman, no one had a clear idea about where Bangladesh would head after the fall of Hasina’s government. When he presented his 31-point reform proposal, many people were uncertain about the country’s future direction. This proposal was made a year and a half before the fall of the Hasina administration.”

The BNP leader added that the reform plan outlines how to advance the country’s political, economic, and social development by empowering backward and marginalized communities.

“Those who are now talking about reforms should remember that Begum Khaleda Zia also proposed reforms when she was in power. Later, Tarique Rahman announced a 27-point reform agenda on behalf of the BNP, which was expanded into a 31-point framework with input from allied parties to restructure the state,” Amir Khasru said.
