Two More Deaths from COVID-19 in Chittagong, Four New Confirmed Cases

Chittagong has reported two additional deaths due to COVID-19. The victims, Kazi Abdul Awal (80) from Sirajpur in Companiganj, Noakhali, and Rabeya Khatun (95) from the Firingbazar area under Kotwali police station in Chittagong city, were both suffering from pneumonia complications. They passed away while receiving treatment at a private hospital in the city.

This information was disclosed in a report published by the Civil Surgeon's Office on Monday, June 23.

Chittagong Civil Surgeon Jahangir Alam Chowdhury confirmed that four new cases of COVID-19 had been detected in the district over the last 24 hours. Of these, one person tested positive at the Chittagong Medical College Lab, two at the Chevron Lab, and one at Evercare Hospital.

Since June 4, a total of 78 people in the district have been diagnosed with COVID-19. During the same period, six people have succumbed to the virus.
