As part of this process, some SPs are being made officers on special duty (OSD) or sent into compulsory retirement, similar to the measures taken against deputy commissioners (DCs) who oversaw the election, he said.

Speaking at the inauguration of a model mosque in Bagatipara upazila of Natore district, the adviser emphasized the government’s commitment to establishing good governance.

"When the interim government took office, the police administration was in a state of disarray," he said. "Through the government's efforts, confidence has been restored in the police, leading to an improvement in law and order."

Additionally, he mentioned that action is being taken against the syndicate charging excessive fares from Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan.

Natore Deputy Commissioner Asma Shahin, Project Director Ferdous Ur Rahman, and other officials were present at the event.

The model mosque, constructed by the Public Works Department at a cost of approximately Tk13.5 crore, was formally inaugurated during the event.

Later, the adviser also inaugurated another model mosque in Lalpur upazila of the district.
