He made the remarks at the launch of the National Professional Alliance, an organization of professionals “illuminated by the July Spirit,” held at the World Literature Center in Banglamotor, Dhaka, on Saturday (December 6).

Nasiruddin Patwari said, “Small parties should not bow to big parties. We must build our own backbone. Dynasty politics, corruption, extortion, and religious politics will no longer work. We started by dismantling—now it is time to build.”

He added that if the NCP forms the government or becomes part of it, Friday and Saturday will be declared weekly holidays in the private sector.

Patwari further alleged that in the past, political servitude, family control, and flattery were the main qualifications for obtaining jobs in both public and private sectors. Criticizing media ownership by businessmen, he said, “The salaries journalists receive do not even cover their pocket expenses. Most businessmen in Bangladesh have turned into mafias.”

Issuing a warning to India, the NCP Chief Coordinator said, “Do not interfere in Bangladesh’s elections. You have significant business interests here—you will be forced to flee. We are ready to resist BJP-backed terrorism in South Asia.”

Central leaders of the NCP were present at the event.
