The information was disclosed in a notification signed by Mohammad Shahidur Rahman, Assistant Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat, on Saturday (November 8).
According to the notification, 21 election officers from senior district election offices have been transferred to the posts of upazila election officers. In addition, two upazila election officers have been transferred to serve as election officers at district election offices.
The order states that the transfers will remain effective until further notice and will take immediate effect in the public interest.
Earlier, more than 100 officials were transferred as part of the EC’s preparations for the national polls. The Election Commission is planning to hold the 13th National Parliamentary Election in the first half of February, with the official schedule expected to be announced in early December.
As part of its preparations, the EC has been actively reshuffling field-level officials to ensure a fair and transparent election process across the country.
