Chhatra Dal Announces Full Panel for CHAKSU Election

The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD)-backed branch of Chittagong University has announced its full panel for the upcoming Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CHAKSU) elections.

Sajjad Hossain Hridoy, the branch’s organizing secretary, has been nominated for the post of Vice President (VP), while Md. Shafayat Hossain has been nominated for General Secretary (GS) and Ayubur Rahman Toufiq for Assistant General Secretary (AGS).

Chhatra Dal Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir announced the panel at a press conference held at the university’s Intellectual Square on Thursday (September 18) around 1:30 pm.

Deputy Sports and Sports Affairs Secretary: Joy Baraya

Literature, Culture and Publication Secretary: Md. Mozammel Haque Hridoy

Deputy Literature, Culture and Publication Secretary: Shahidul Kaiser

Office Secretary: Touhidul Islam Bhuiyan

Deputy Office Secretary: Shahriar Ullah Fahad

Student Welfare Secretary: Nuzhat Jahan

Assistant Student Welfare Secretary: Shafqat Shafiq

Science and Information Technology Secretary: Md. Ozayer Hossain

Research and Development Secretary: Fairuz Sadaf Dwip

Social Service and Environment Secretary: Imam Hasan

Health Secretary: Mohammad Abrar Ghalib

Liberation War and Democratic Movement Secretary: Shahriar Limon

Career Development and International Secretary: Shrutiraj Chowdhury

Communication and Housing Secretary: Md. Sayem Uddin Ahmed

Law and Human Rights Secretary: Abdullah Al Shakib

Library and Cafeteria Secretary: Md. Jabed

Additionally, Faisal Prant Babar, Mizan Mia, Nusrat Jahan, SM Tariqul Islam Rimon, and Taif Hossain Emon have been nominated as members.

According to the CHAKSU election schedule, September 18 is the last day to submit nomination papers. The preliminary list of candidates will be published on September 21, while the deadline for withdrawal of candidacy is September 23 at 3:30 pm. The final list will be published on September 25, and voting is scheduled for October 12.
