Bulbul made the remarks while addressing a student–youth rally as the chief guest at the Nawabganj College grounds on Saturday (November 22).
He said that if given the opportunity, he would take initiatives to set up a medical college, a hospital, an airport, and a science and technology university in the district. “We want the youth to become a force for social change. We want a Bangladesh where women can safely go to work and return home, where the youth will not have to abandon their dreams because of financial hardship,” he said.
Bulbul added that Jamaat-e-Islami prioritizes ensuring people’s rights, uplifting the youth, improving infrastructure, and establishing a safe environment in Chapainawabganj. “We want Chapainawabganj to become a safe city—where businessmen, mothers, and sisters can move safely and confidently,” he said. “If elected, we will work to eliminate unemployment and empower the youth.”
He urged voters to stay vigilant and not be misled, saying Jamaat is committed to building a humane and secure Bangladesh. “Chapainawabganj will be developed as a model for the country,” he added.
Speaking as a special guest, Islamic Student Union central president Zahidul Islam made several political accusations, alleging misrule and violence under previous administrations. He urged residents of Chapainawabganj-3 to support Bulbul with the party’s ‘scales’ symbol, portraying him as a leader capable of bringing change.

Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, former central president of Islami Chhatra Shibir and Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South, said Bulbul represents not just Chapainawabganj, but the global Islamic movement. Citing examples from university campuses, he claimed that Jamaat-associated student organizations have historically restored order and reduced irregularities.
He argued that only Jamaat-e-Islami could ensure a safe future for the nation, urging voters to support the party to build a humane and livable Bangladesh.
DUCSU Vice President Abu Sadiq Kayem praised Bulbul’s role in the July Revolution, calling him an asset to the country. He said Jamaat and its student wing operate without terrorism, corruption, or extortion, and urged voters to support the ‘scales’ symbol to ensure justice and protect fundamental rights.
CHAKSU VP Ibrahim Hossain Rony and RAKSU VP Mostaqur Rahman Zahid echoed similar sentiments, saying the youth have consistently shown confidence in Jamaat-supported platforms in student union elections.
The rally was presided over by Jamaat-e-Islami Chapainawabganj District Secretary Professor Abu Bakr and conducted by Sadar Upazila Amir Hafez Abdul Alim. Other speakers included Rajshahi Metropolitan Amir Dr. Keramat Ali, Jamaat MP candidates from Chapainawabganj-1 and 2, former Chapainawabganj Municipality mayor Principal Mohammad Nazrul Islam, and several senior central and district-level leaders.
