This has caused slow-moving traffic at several points along the highways.

However, no reports of traffic jams have been received.

Field visits to several highway locations from Wednesday morning until 1:30pm revealed these conditions.

Increased police presence was observed at various points along the roads.

The Savar Highway police reported that several police teams are actively working on the Dhaka-Aricha, Abdullahpur-Baipail and Nabinagar-Chandra highways.

So far, no traffic jams have occurred, although passenger and vehicle pressure is increasing.

The Golra Highway police confirmed that traffic volume has risen on the Dhaka-Aricha highway, but no traffic congestion has been reported anywhere.

Field inspections along the Dhaka-Aricha highway—covering Barobaria, Kalampur, Dhamrai, Nabinagar, Radio Colony, Savar Bus Stand, Hemayetpur, Amin Bazar and Abdullahpur-Baipail roads, as well as Ashulia, Jamgora and Unique area—and on the Nabinagar-Chandra highway including Baipail, Jirani and Chakraborty areas revealed no signs of traffic jams.

However, due to waterlogging and ongoing expressway construction on the Abdullahpur-Baipail road, traffic movement is somewhat slowed.

There is also a slight slow movement in service lanes near Nabinagar, Savar Bus Stand and Hemayetpur areas on the Dhaka-Aricha highway, though no congestion is observed on the main lanes.

Industry representatives have noted that after noon, when garment factories close, passenger crowds on the roads are expected to increase.

Nevertheless, many travelers have already begun departing Dhaka, which has contributed to increased transportation and passenger pressure.

Meanwhile, the Highway police have taken preparations to maintain order on the roads ahead of the Eid journey.

Savar Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saleh Ahmed said: "There are no issues on the highways in Savar. The situation is under control and vehicles are moving at normal speeds."

He added: "Although vehicle numbers have increased, the Savar Highway Police are conducting 24-hour traffic duty and mobile patrols from Amin Bazar to Jirani, as well as in Nabinagar and Baipail. We are fully prepared to ensure a smooth Eid journey for the public.”

Golra Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Sohel Sarwar said: “The situation on the Dhaka-Aricha highway has remained normal since morning. Traffic and passenger volumes have increased, but there are no problems anywhere. Multiple police teams are working on the roads.”
