The fire was reported around 1pm to IGI Airport Police Station. Firefighters, police, and CISF personnel quickly reached the spot, Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI) Vichitra Veer said in a statement.
He said that the bus was not carrying any passengers or luggage at the time of the incident, reports The Times of India.
“Only the driver was present when the fire broke out. Fire officials promptly brought the blaze under control. No injuries or casualties have been reported,” DCP Veer said.
Police said the bus, used to transport passengers within the airport, was damaged in the fire. The area was briefly cordoned off as a safety measure.
Authorities have started examining the bus to find out what caused the fire, and an investigation is underway.
