The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the information in a press release issued by its Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room on Sunday.

According to the report, 1,195 patients were admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours. Among them, 155 were from Barishal Division, 132 from Chattogram Division, 278 from Dhaka Division (outside the City Corporation areas), 220 from Dhaka North City, 115 from Dhaka South City, 114 from Khulna Division, 59 from Mymensingh Division, and 113 from Rajshahi Division.

During the same period, 1,108 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals nationwide, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 74,893.

Since January this year, a total of 78,543 dengue patients have been hospitalized, and 313 people have lost their lives due to the mosquito-borne disease.

For comparison, in 2024, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue hospitalizations and 575 deaths, while in 2023, the country witnessed its deadliest outbreak, with 321,179 hospitalizations and 1,705 deaths.
