The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services confirmed the figures in a press release on Thursday (November 27).
According to the statement, 567 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 12 hours. The distribution is as follows: 69 in Barisal Division, 86 in Chittagong Division, 92 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation areas), 125 in Dhaka North City, 86 in Dhaka South City, 41 in Khulna Division (outside City Corporation areas), 37 in Mymensingh Division, 25 in Rajshahi Division, 2 in Rangpur Division, and 4 in Sylhet Division.
During the same period, 588 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals nationwide, bringing the total number of patients discharged this year to 90,219.
Since January 1, 2025, a total of 92,784 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals, and 377 people have died from the disease.
For context, in 2024, 101,214 people were hospitalized due to dengue, with 575 deaths reported. In 2023, dengue caused 1,705 deaths and 321,179 hospitalizations nationwide, highlighting the ongoing public health challenge posed by the disease.
