According to reports, three units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence from the Jirabo Modern Fire Station rushed to the spot and are currently working to bring the blaze under control.
Firefighter Sabuj Islam from Jirabo Modern Fire Service told Dhaka Post that the fire erupted shortly after noon. “After receiving the news, three units from our station went to the scene and started efforts to extinguish the fire. Work to control the fire is still ongoing,” he said.
As of 1 pm, the fire had not yet been fully brought under control. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still unknown. No casualties have been reported so far.
