The information was released in a press statement from the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the DGHS on Wednesday (November 12).
Between 8 am Tuesday (November 11) and 8 am Wednesday (November 12), hospitals recorded 179 new dengue admissions in Barishal division, 115 in Chattogram division, 223 in Dhaka division (outside city corporation areas), 254 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 143 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 89 in Khulna division (outside the city corporation), 46 in Rajshahi division, 82 in Mymensingh division, 5 in Rangpur division, and 3 in Sylhet division.
During the same period, 1,051 dengue patients were released from hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 77,989, the DGHS report said.
Since January 1, a total of 323 people have died of dengue nationwide, the report added.
In comparison, Bangladesh reported 101,214 dengue infections and 575 deaths in 2024.
