The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the information in a press release issued by its Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room on Monday (October 27).

According to the DGHS, among the newly admitted patients, 141 are from Barisal division, 111 from Chittagong division, 171 from Dhaka division (outside the city corporation areas), 227 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 133 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 62 from Khulna division, 41 from Mymensingh division, 78 from Rajshahi division, 12 from Rangpur division, and 7 from Sylhet division.

Meanwhile, 970 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of recoveries to 63,414 since the beginning of the year.

According to DGHS data, a total of 66,423 dengue patients have been hospitalized across the country since January 2025. So far, the mosquito-borne viral disease has claimed 269 lives this year.
