The information was released in a press statement by the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of DGHS on Tuesday (November 4).

According to the report, among the newly hospitalized patients, 151 are from Barishal division, 125 from Chattogram division, 208 from Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation areas), 241 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 175 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 59 from Khulna division (outside the City Corporation), 75 from Mymensingh division, 45 from Rajshahi division, 19 from Rangpur division, and 3 from Sylhet division.

During the same period, 1,077 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 70,529.

Since January, a total of 73,923 patients have been hospitalized due to dengue, with 292 deaths reported so far in 2025.

For comparison, in 2024, a total of 101,214 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals, and 575 people died from the disease. The previous year, 2023, saw the worst outbreak on record — with 1,705 deaths and 321,179 hospitalizations across Bangladesh.

Health authorities continue to urge the public to destroy mosquito breeding grounds and remain cautious as the country experiences recurring outbreaks during the post-monsoon period.
