The figures were revealed in a press release issued on Thursday (October 23) by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the report, from 8 a.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday, one death each was recorded in Dhaka South, Dhaka North, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.
Among the newly admitted patients, 155 were reported from Dhaka North City, 130 from Dhaka South City, 147 from Dhaka division (outside the city corporation areas), 112 from Barishal division, 97 from Chittagong, 49 each from Khulna and Mymensingh, 37 from Rajshahi, 17 from Rangpur, and 10 from Sylhet division.
Meanwhile, 771 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals nationwide in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 60,263.
According to DGHS data, a total of 63,170 dengue patients have been hospitalized since January. So far this year, 259 people have died from the mosquito-borne disease.
