“The introduction of postal voting, including provisions for expatriates, reflects a major advancement in the election process, noting that many countries had struggled to implement similar systems successfully,” he said while speaking at a dialogue with representatives of registered political parties today (November 16) at the Election Commission building in Agargaon.

He also highlighted additional new initiatives for the upcoming election, including updated voter lists through more than 77,000 specially trained field staff and special voting arrangements for law enforcement personnel, presiding officers, government employees and even inmates.

Six political parties attended the morning session of the dialogue, with another session scheduled later today involving six more parties.
