The data, recorded between 8 am Saturday and 8 am Sunday, shows that the total number of dengue-related deaths in 2025 has now risen to 230.

During this period, 953 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 197 were from Dhaka division, including 147 in Dhaka North City and 122 in Dhaka South City. The division-wise breakdown of new hospitalizations is as follows: Barisal Division: 141 patients, Chittagong Division: 107 patients, Khulna Division: 93 patients, Mymensingh Division: 46 patients, Rajshahi Division: 69 patients, Rangpur Division: 23 patients, Sylhet Division: 8 patients.

Since January this year, a total of 54,559 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country with dengue infections.

Meanwhile, 854 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals in the last 12 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 51,783, according to DGHS.

Health experts have urged people to remain alert, destroy mosquito breeding grounds, and seek medical treatment immediately if dengue symptoms such as high fever, headache, or body pain appear.
