Time Digital Reports: A third year student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Fardin Noor Parash's body has been recovered and his girlfriend Amatullah Bushra has been sent to jail after five-day remand.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ataullah ordered to send her to prison on Wednesday (November 16, 2022) after Investigation Officer Md Mojibur Rahman, an inspector of Detective Branch of police, produced her before it with a forwarding report.

In the forwarding report, the IO said Bushra gave important information about the killing which is being verified.

As such, she needs to be kept in jail until the investigation is completed, the IO added. Defence, however, submitted a petition seeking bail saying that their client was implicated in the case on vague allegations and she should be granted bail.

Upon hearing both sides, the magistrate turned down the defence pleas and ordered to send her to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj. A team of Rampura police arrested Bushra from Banasree on November 10.
