Tarique Rahman to Contest Bogra-6 Seat Under Paddy Sheaf Symbol

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been initially nominated to contest the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election from the Bogra-6 constituency under the party’s traditional paddy sheaf symbol.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of 235 party candidates at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Monday (November 3).

During the announcement, Mirza Fakhrul said that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will contest from two constituencies—Dinajpur-3 and Bogra-7.

He also confirmed that Tarique Rahman will run from Bogra-6, while Mirza Fakhrul himself will contest from Thakurgaon-1. In addition, Sanjida Tuli, popularly known as Mayer Dakar, has been nominated for the Dhaka-14 seat.

Further details on BNP’s candidate list and election strategy are expected to be released soon.
