The Fire Service and Civil Defence received the fire report at around 6:38 pm on Wednesday (November 12).
Confirming the incident, Fire Service Duty Officer Rozina Akhter said, “We received information at 6:18 pm that a bus had caught fire in Dholaipar. One of our units is working at the scene to control the blaze. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and no casualties have been reported so far.”
In recent days, incidents of arson targeting passenger buses have been reported in several areas of Dhaka. Miscreants have also been detonating crude bombs in parts of the city, raising concerns over public safety.
