He made these remarks while speaking to journalists after attending a seminar organized by the Chittagong Travel Forum at Hotel Peninsula in Chittagong on Friday (November 14).
Amir Khasru said, “Only an elected government can address the problems that have accumulated in the country. We are now focusing on political change. The people’s main demand is a festive and democratic election. They are not concerned with minor issues—everyone wants elections.”
Commenting on the verdict in the ongoing cases against Sheikh Hasina, the BNP leader said, “The outcome of the verdict depends entirely on the judiciary. Everyone should have confidence in the judicial process.”
Earlier, while speaking at the seminar, Amir Khasru said that if the BNP returns to power, free primary healthcare services will be ensured for all citizens. Following the inauguration of the seminar, he visited various stalls at the Medical Value Travel Summit.
Top healthcare institutions, medical travel facilitators, corporate representatives, and travel agency officials from China, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and Bangladesh participated in the day-long summit.
