A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday (November 9).
The districts that have received new DCs are Brahmanbaria, Jhenaidah, Narail, Jamalpur, Meherpur, Kishoreganj, Jhalokati, Gopalganj, Chuadanga, Panchagarh, Joypurhat, Mymensingh, Manikganj and Chandpur.
Among them, Narail DC Sharmin Akhter Jahan has been made the DC of Brahmanbaria and Meherpur DC Mohammad Abdul Salam has been made the DC of Narail.
On the other hand, Director of the Department of Environment Md. Abdullah Al Masud has been made DC of Jhenaidah, Zonal Settlement Officer of the Khulna Land Records and Survey Department Md. Yusup Ali has been made DC of Jamalpur, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Lutfun Nahar has been made DC of Meherpur, Chief Revenue Officer of Dhaka South City Corporation Mohammad Aslam Mollah has been made DC of Kishoreganj, and Director of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery Md. Momin Uddin has been made DC of Jhalakathi.
Besides, Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs Md. Arif-uz-Zaman has been made the DC of Gopalganj, Deputy Secretary of the Economic Relations Division Md. Kamal Hossain Chuadanga, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Kazi Md. Sayemuzzaman Panchagarh, Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Office of the Chief Advisor Md. Al-Mamun Mia Joypurhat, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Md. Saifur Rahman Mymensingh, Deputy Director of Local Government of the Deputy Commissioner's Office of Khagrachhari Nazmun Ara Sultana Manikganj and Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Office of the Chief Advisor Md. Nazmul Islam Sarkar have been made the DC of Chandpur.
