These include customization of the 'liquid glass' design, the ability to set alarms in the Reminders app, and a live translation feature for the European Union (EU). The full release of this version is expected to come in December.

The new liquid glass interface is actually an option to change the look of the clock on the iPhone's lock screen. Users can now set the transparency or 'opacity' of the clock as they wish. Some people can keep the clock completely transparent. Others can also give it a slightly foggy or 'frosted' effect. There is even an option to turn off the liquid glass feature completely.

Another important addition to the Reminders app is the ability to set alarms. Now, if you select a specific time and turn on the 'urgent' option, the alarm will sound at that time. Users have been demanding such a feature for a long time. This will now be more helpful in their time management.

In addition, the live translation feature for AirPods users is now also being launched in European Union countries. When someone speaks in another language, Siri will translate it directly. Although this feature has been available in some countries, including the United States, it took time to implement it in accordance with the rules of the EU's Digital Markets Act.

The new update brings some other changes to the Apple News and Apple Podcasts apps. The News app is adding a 'Following' tab, where you can find your favorite topics, saved stories, and reading history in one place. On the other hand, Podcasts is adding artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chapter division and a Podcast Mentions feature, which will automatically add links to other shows when they are mentioned.

Additionally, Apple Music will now allow you to view lyrics even when you're offline. There's even a new option to make the screen flash when notifications arrive on your iPhone.

All in all, iOS 26.2 will not only bring a new design, but will also make users' daily experience easier and smarter.
