Time Sports Desk: Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan elected to bat first after winning the toss in the second and final Test against India today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Following their 188-run defeat in the first Test, Bangladesh brought up two changes to the side with batter Mominul Haque and fast bowler Taskin Ahmed replacing Yasir Ali and Ebadot Hossain as the Tigers aim to draw the series.
Bangladesh won the three-match ODI series by 2-1 and a draw in the Test series will make it a most successful bilateral series for them.
Ebadot, unarguably the best Test bowler for Bangladesh at this moment couldn't bowl in the second innings of India in the first Test after suffering a back injury.
Shakib who was also unable to bowl in the second innings due to his rib and shoulder injury was declared fit to bowl in the second Test.
"We'll bat first. It will be challenging for the first two hours. If we can manage that, we can score well. Fast bowlers get some help here but it is generally good for batting," Shakib said after winning the toss.
India had one change with pacer Jaydev Unadkat making his comeback to the side after 12 years.
