The delegation, led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, arrived at Jamuna around 6 pm. He was accompanied by BNP Standing Committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed.
Before entering the guest house, delegation member Salahuddin Ahmed told reporters,
“We had requested time to meet the Chief Advisor, and he has granted us that today. We will discuss the overall situation in the country, including the upcoming February national elections and several administrative issues.”
The meeting marks the BNP’s first official discussion with the interim government since its formation, and political observers consider it significant in the context of the upcoming national polls.
