He made the remarks while speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 22), addressing various contemporary political issues.

Dr. Nazrul stated that the current government is already operating in a neutral capacity.

Speaking about the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, he said, “Due to the ongoing disagreements among political parties, uncertainty remains over whether the election will be held in February. However, that uncertainty will be resolved if the implementation of the July Charter progresses smoothly.”

He further mentioned that the Chief Advisor will personally oversee various aspects of public administration in preparation for the upcoming election.

Notably, following a meeting with the Chief Advisor on Tuesday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that, to ensure a meaningful, neutral, and acceptable election, the interim government should operate in the spirit of a caretaker government.
