On Tuesday (January 20), Chhatra Shibir's central president Nurul Islam approved the committee.
Secretary General Sibgatullah Sibga will serve as the convener of the committee, and Central International Secretary Mutasim Billah Shahedi has been appointed as the member secretary.
Other members of the committee are: Central Student Rights Secretary Amirul Islam, Central Publication Secretary and DUCSU VP Abu Sadiq Kayem, Central Student Welfare Secretary Dr. Redwanul Islam, Central Public Relations Secretary Engineer Tanvir Hossain, Central Executive Council Member and DUCSU GS SM Farhad, Central Executive Council Member and DUCSU VP Mostaqur Rahman Zahid and Central Executive Council Member Muhibur Rahman.
In a statement, central president Nurul Islam said, "The 'July Charter' is the foundation of the dream of a new Bangladesh that students and the public have dreamed of after breaking the tyranny of the past decade and a half. Fundamental reforms of the state are essential to implement this charter and build a society without discrimination. The dream of the martyrs can be realized by winning 'yes' in the referendum."
He further said, "A historic reform journey has begun to build a dignified Bangladesh against fascist rule and hegemonic forces. At this moment of building a self-reliant country, I urge the countrymen to take a strong stand in favor of a 'yes' vote."
