Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar made the remarks while speaking to the media after submitting a memorandum containing the five-point demands on behalf of the eight parties at the Chief Advisor’s residence, Jamuna, on Thursday (November 6).
Parwar warned that if the demands were not met within the stipulated time, “the picture of Dhaka could be different on November 11.”
He said, “Eight political parties, including Jamaat, will hold a rally in Dhaka on November 11. Before that, I urge the government to accept our demands. Show respect for the July Charter and the people’s aspirations by fulfilling the five-point demands. Otherwise, the capital may witness a different scenario that day.”
At the time, the Jamaat leader also called upon the Chief Advisor to play the role of a “referee” in facilitating discussions among political parties to ensure a fair and peaceful political environment.
Earlier, Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan received the memorandum on behalf of the Chief Advisor from representatives of the eight parties.
