Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has kept the suspects under surveillance involved in the arson attack on the Mohanganj Express train at Tejgaon Railway Station.

RAB has also interrogated some people, said Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the legal and media wing of RAB at a press conference on Tuesday.

Khandaker Al Moin also said: "We have initially interrogated some of those who were seen in the footage of CC cameras. However, they do not appear to be directly involved in the incident. Based on the information provided by them, we have kept some more people under surveillance.”

"Burning people is a disgusting act. Those who did this will be brought under the law. Work is underway to identify the real culprits by reviewing footage from several CC cameras. There are several suspects,” he added.

On December 19, at least four people, including a woman and her son, were killed as arsonists set three coaches of a train on fire near Dhaka’s Tejgaon Railway Station on Tuesday morning.

At least 10 other passengers were injured.
