The party announced the implementation of the outline announced at the 'Policy Summit 2025' held at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital on Tuesday (January 20) after coming to power.

The points announced at the 'Policy Summit 2026' of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami are:

  1. A zero tolerance policy against corruption will be adopted.
  2. Taxes and VAT (Value Added Tax) will be gradually reduced from the current rates, with a long-term goal of bringing the tax rate to 19 percent and VAT to 10 percent.
  3. Smart Social Security Card will be introduced (NID, TIN, health and social services in one card).
  4. Gas, electricity and water charges will not be increased in all industries in the next 3 years.
  5. Closed factories will be reopened through public-private partnerships and 10% ownership will be given to workers.
  6. Business-friendly policies will be created. Simple licensing system will be adopted.
  7. Interest-free loan facilities will be provided to small and medium farmers.

● Educational:

  1. Interest-free loans (Karje Hasana) of up to 10,000 taka per month for a maximum period of 2 years will be provided to 5 lakh graduates from the time they graduate until they get a job.
  2. Interest-free education loans of 10,000 taka per month will be provided to 1 lakh students based on merit and need.
  3. Every year, 100 students will be provided interest-free educational loans to study in the best universities in the world. Even the talented children of the poor can study in Harvard, MIT, Oxford, and Cambridge.
  4. The world's largest women's university will be established by merging Eden, Badrunnesa, and Home Economics Colleges.
  5. Major colleges under the National University will be converted into universities.
  6. All appointments will be based on merit.

● Healthcare related:

  1. Free healthcare will be provided to adults over 60 years of age and children under 5 years of age.
  2. 64 specialized hospitals will be established in 64 districts.
  3. Under the 'First Thousand Days Program', the primary health and nutritional security of mothers and children from pregnancy to the age of two years will be brought under the ambit of social security.

● Plans for young people:

  1. A new ministry will be established for skilled manpower and job placement.
  2. 10 million youth will be provided with market-based skills training in 5 years.
  3. 'Youth Tech Lab' will be established for graduates in every upazila.

20. By forming a 'District Job Youth Bank' in each district, 5 million job access will be ensured in 5 years.

21. 5 lakh entrepreneurs will be created, with priority given to women, youth and neglected communities.

22. 1.5 million freelancers will be created.

23. Skill development programs suitable for less educated youth will be launched.

● ICT and Vision 2040:

24. 'Vision 2040' will be announced for the development of the ICT sector.

25. Two million ICT jobs will be created and placed by 2030.

26. A national payment gateway will be established for freelancers and digital exports.

27. A target of earning US$ 5 billion in export revenue from the ICT sector will be adopted.

28. The government will set a target of saving US$1.5 billion in expenditure in the ICT sector.

29. The goal of transforming from a labor-based economy to a knowledge-based economy will be set.

● Regarding remittances:

30. Remittance income will be increased two to three times within 5-7 years through skilled manpower.

31. In addition to economic remittances, expatriate Bangladeshi professionals, researchers, and teachers will be brought back to the country as 'intellectual remittances'.

The Policy Summit was attended by ambassadors from various countries, top leaders of political parties, intellectuals, academics, prominent editors and journalist leaders, researchers, and professionals.
