He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a Jamaat-e-Islami election rally held at the Satkhira Government Boys' School grounds on Tuesday (January 27) afternoon.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Alhamdulillah, you are proud because of a son. This cricket has enlightened you in the world, Mustafiz has enlightened Bangladesh. Yet, the neighboring country did not allow this boy to go to a friendly match. This is an extreme insult to the country, to cricket.

He said, "In this embarrassing situation, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has withdrawn its decision to play T20s in India again. The demand was that this game should be played in Sri Lanka, we will go. But the Cricket Board (ICC) did not accept this demand. We are sorry, we are ashamed."

Addressing the ICC, he said, "There is still time, we request you to review your decision."

Regarding Satkhira, the Jamaat Amir said, "The most crimes and injustices in Bangladesh have been committed in Satkhira. The houses of our leaders and activists were demolished with bulldozers. Did they commit any crime?"

He said, "I came to Satkhira in 2015. I tried to go around on a motorcycle. I came to find out about the families of the 45 martyrs of faith and faith. I came to wipe the tears of the mothers and sisters who were widowed, the children who were seeing darkness after losing their fathers."

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that during his visit to various upazilas of Satkhira, he heard complaints of deprivation and neglect from local people. Many said that the government did not give importance to Satkhira as a part of the country and that the district was treated like a stepmother.

He claims that Satkhira has been systematically deprived of development for a long time because of its stand for justice and fairness. However, he says, "Allah gives honor to whomever He wills, and takes away honor from whomever He wills."

The public meeting was presided over by Satkhira District Jamaat Ameer Shahidul Islam Mukul. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Satkhira-1 constituency MP candidate Principal Muhammad Izzat Ullah, Satkhira-2 constituency candidate Muhaddis Abdul Khalek, Satkhira-3 constituency candidate Muhaddis Rabiul Bashar and Satkhira-4 constituency candidate Gazi Nazrul Islam spoke as special guests. The program was conducted by District Jamaat Secretary Azizur Rahman.
