Time Digital Report: As part of the week-long program on the occasion of International Mother Language and Martyrs' Day, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan South distributed small business materials and cash for employment purposes.
Member of the Central Executive Council and Ameer of Dhaka Metropolitan South Nurul Islam Bulbul distributed these small business materials in the Paltan area of the capital on Wednesday.
Central Majlis Shura Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Assistant Secretary Kamal Hossain, Dhaka Metropolitan South Working Council Member Abdus Salam, Dhaka Metropolitan South Majlis Shura Member Shaheen Ahmad Khan and Ashraful Alam Imon and other leaders were present on the occasion.
Nurul Islam Bulbul said, since the time of corona in the country, marginal and working people have been suffering due to various reasons. The income of daily labourers and small traders has decreased and many have lost their jobs and become unemployed. In such a situation Jamaat-e-Islami as a responsible and idealistic organization cannot remain idle. So we have come forward with limited capacity to alleviate the plight of these people. We are trying to make these brothers and sisters self-reliant by handing over various business tools including cash assistance, juice maker, coffee maker, and lock repair equipment.
Referring to a hadith, he said that if we do not have mercy on the people of the world, then Allah will not have mercy on us. As a result, our welfare program for the people of society will continue in the coming days.
He also said that the rulers today are unable to fulfill the basic needs of the people. The youth today is helpless as they face unemployment due to loss of business and jobs. The government's activities in creating self-employment and removing unemployment of these affected people are very inadequate.
The country's economic sector is now facing destruction due to rampant corruption and looting that is leading our golden country to a failed state. We are determined to establish human rights and build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh. We are always vocal in establishing fair rights for citizens. We do politics to establish this country as a welfare state based on justice and fairness in light of the noble ideals of Islam, he said.
He called on everyone to stand by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the struggle to establish a welfare state.
